Professor Joseph Berechman is the Marvin Kristein Chair Professor in the Department of Economics and Business at the Colin Powell School, CCNY, City University of New York.
Previously, he was CN Chair Professor in Transportation and International Logistics at the Sauder School of Business, the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada and for over 30 years Professor at Tel Aviv University, where among others he served as Chairman of the Public Policy Department and Founding Director of the first Center of Transportation Research in Israel.
Professor Berechman has consulted on a variety of transportation and urban projects in different countries for the past several years he has been engaged in major cost and investment studies of transportation infrastructure projects in New York and elsewhere.
Professor Berechman holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from the Hebrew University and MBA from the Wharton School, and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.
He has published numerous articles and books.
