Mr Hizkiyahu served as the Accountant General at the Ministry of Finance since January 2017 till October 2020.
Prior to joining the Ministry, Mr Hizkiyahu held several managerial positions in the public and private sector.
He served as Chairman of the First International Bank, and prior to that as the Supervisor of Banks at the Bank of Israel, a position he held from 1/2017 to 12/2010.
During his tenure as Supervisor, he faced many challenges spurred by the 2008 Global Financial Crisis.
Mr Hizkiyahu stated his professional career at Bank Hapoalim. After several managerial positions, he was appointed as the CEO of the Maritime Bank and then appointed as EVP and Head of the Business Division at Discount Bank. Additionally, he served as a member in several Boards of Directors.
Mr Hizkiyahu holds a B.Sc in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Ben Gurion University.
