Justice Hanan Melcer, Former Deputy President of the Supreme Court of Israel

Justice Hanan Melcer is the former Deputy President of the Supreme Court of Israel. Before his appointment to the Court, he founded Melcer & Co., a leading law firm specializing in public law, communications law, infrastructure law and commercial law, and was involved in the legal aspects of major infrastructure projects in Israel, including the Cross-Israel Highway, Ben-Gurion Airport Terminal 2000, the underwater communications cable initiative, the Israeli civil satellite initiative, and the Tel Aviv light rail project. He also lectured at leading law faculties in Israel.
